PNZ Products
Properties:
PNZ-HOLZ-WACHS (PNZ-WOOD-WAX) is strongly water repellent. The coat is open-pored and vapour permeable. Coloured PNZ-HOLZ-WACHS protects wood from greying through use of the best pigments. Coloured PNZ-HOLZ-WACHS applied at least twice produces a very weatherproof, satin, water repellent and environmentally-friendly coat, which is very slow to decay. PNZ-HOLZ-WACHS is also extremely well suited to retreat strongly weathered wood surfaces. Colourless PNZ-HOLZ-WACHS is used externally to maintain pressure impregnated wooden items, such as garden furniture or wooden toys. PNZ-HOLZ-WACHS is insensitive to beer, wine, fruit juice and water.
D: Safe after coat has dried, certified for colourfastness when exposed to perspiration and saliva acc. to DIN 53160. EN 71, toy safety.
CH: Tested and approved by the Swiss federal office for public health and the environment BAT T No. 82797, toxicity class: safe
Areas of use:
For the protection and enhancement of domestic and exotic timbers both interior and exterior as well as varnished woods. PNZ-HOLZ-WACHS is suitable for fascia boards, windows, shutters, garden sheds, garage doors, trelliswork, garden furniture, balconies etc., wood composites, plywood, tongue and groove boards, wainscoting, furniture, cork, floorboards, shelving etc. Also for damp rooms such as bathrooms and kitchens as well as heavily used surfaces, for example doors and furniture.
Usage:
Apply coloured PNZ-HOLZ-WACHS to all sides by brush or spraying and dipping techniques. Spread evenly with a nearly dry brush after approx. 5 -10 min. drying time. A second or possibly third treatment of the visible area is to be undertaken, as described, after a drying time of at least 12 hours. Treatment of all sides is recommended in damp rooms. If a rich surface is required, treat as with exterior wood. Remove all oil paints, thick coat systems and all pore-closing old coats by sanding, stripping or burning. The surface must be sound, porous, clean and free of dust. Clean open-pored coats, sanding if required. Apply coats as previously described.
Application temperature should be above 8°C, wood moisture under 18%.
It has different effects on different surfaces. Trial coats are therefore essential.
