Product Characteristics
Consumption

Approximately 60 ml/m², meaning 1 liter of Countertop Oil is enough for approximately 15 m² per coating, depending on the type of wood and surface (planed or rough-sawn).

Storage

Cool, but frost free.

Cleaning

Clean tools with thinner or turpentine substitute immediately after use.

Refined natural oils such as soybean and sunflower oil, isoaliphates, natural waxes, lead-free drying agents, titanium dioxide, pentanonoxime.

Important notices

To avoid skin contact use suitable gloves (nitrile). Wear a dust mask when sanding. Safety data sheet available on request. If medical advice is needed, keep packaging or label handy. Keep out of the reach of children. Read carefully and follow all instructions. When using several containers with different batch numbers mix them together in a larger container. Dispose of contents / container according to local / regional / national / international guidelines. ASN: 080111. EU threshold value for the product (A/f): 700 g/l. This product contains a maximum of 600 g/l VOC.

Usage and Application
Application/Use
  • The untreated wood surface must be clean, dust-free and dry.
  • Processing temperature (incl. drying) above + 8 °C. Moisture content of wood < 18%. Humidity <60%.
  • Stir contents well before and during use.
  • Undiluted leftover oil can be used as care oil.
  • Important: Massive, glued and veneered wood all absorb the oil differently. Shifts in color are possible (oil a sample!).
  • Drying time depends on temperature and air humidity.
  • Touch dry after approximately 4-5 hours, full hardening after 8-10 days. Protect against moisture during this period.

Apply Countertop Oil with oil roller or brush wet-on-wet and then keep applying until it remains wet-on-wet on the entire surface and it absorbs no more oil. (Depending on wood, takes up to 60 min.) Then remove excess oil with a cotton cloth and completely rub in the rest until the entire surface appears completely dry. After 24 hours or more, polish surface with cotton cloth. If necessary, apply a second time just like the first. Apply second coat after 8-12 hours.
