Usage and Application
Application/Use
  • Surface must be clean, dry and free of dust and grease (consider sanding).
  • Processing temperature (including drying) above + 8 °C. Wood humidity < 18%. Air humidity < 60%.
  • Works differently depending on surface characteristics. Apply a trial coat first.
  • Stir contents well before and during use.
  • Fill holes and cracks with a suitable repair paste.
  • Touch dry after 4 - 5 hours. Drying time depends on temperature and air humidity.
  • Final hardness is reached after 8 - 10 days, protect against moisture during this period.

Hardwax Oil can be applied by hand or machine. Apply the first coat thinly with brush, foam roller or paint scraper. Remove surplus after 10 minutes and rub in the rest with a pad. Allow to dry for 8-10 hours while ventilating well. Apply second coat just like the first. The surface can be polished after complete drying (approx. 24 hours) to increase durability. Wooden planks can be treated individually before assembly. With grain-cut wood and absorbent woods such as beech, etc., we recommend three coats applied as outlined previously. Final hardness is reached after 8-10 days.
