PNZ Wood Wax L

High-performance wax coat for indoors and outdoors. Durable protection against graying and dirt. Sustainably produced with regional raw materials.

Suitable for

Any wood in interiors and exteriors such as facade cladding, windows, garden houses, wall and ceiling cladding, wooden floors, furniture, cork, toys, etc. Wood Wax L is also suitable for damp areas like bathrooms and kitchen and even highly strained surfaces like doors and furniture. Wood Wax L is an impervious, open-pore and vapor permeable coat. It protects against graying and soiling and penetrates well. Swelling and shrinkage are reduced.

Product Characteristics
Consumption

Approximately 60 ml/m², meaning 1 liter of Wood Wax L is enough for approximately 15 m² per application, depending on the kind of wood and surface (planed or rough-sawn). Corrugated wood can increase consumption (factor 2-3). Lower consumption affects durability of the coat.

Storage

Cool, but frost free.

Cleaning

Clean tools with thinner or turpentine substitute immediately after use.

Refined natural oils such as soybean and sunflower oil, isoaliphates, natural waxes, lead- and cobalt-free drying agents, pentanonoxime, iron oxide pigments and titanium dioxide.

Important notices

Safety data sheet available on request. Warning! Hazardous respirable droplets may be formed when sprayed. Do not breathe spray or mist. Wear a dust mask when sanding. If medical advice is needed, have product container or label at hand. Keep out of reach of children. Read carefully and follow all instructions. To avoid skin contact use suitable gloves (nitrile). Do not use the shades “natural” or “transparent” outdoors by themselves as these offer no UV protection. When using multiple containers with different batch numbers mix them together in a bigger container. Dispose of contents / container according to local / regional / national / international guidelines. ASN: 080111. EU limit for this product (A/f): 700 g/l. This product contains a maximum of 600 g/l VOC.

Usage and Application
Application/Use
  • Surface has to be clean, dry and free of frost and dust.
  • Processing temperature (including drying) above + 8°C. Wood humidity < 18%. Air humidity < 60%.
  • Treat softwood (risk of fungi) in exteriors with an appropriate impregnation primer before applying the first coat.
  • Can be painted over when partially dry after approximately 12 hours.
  • We recommend applying to all sides in damp areas.
  • Stir contents well before and during use
  • Works differently depending on surface characteristics. Apply a trial coat first.
  • If possible, apply once on all sides before assembly.

Apply Wood Wax L by brush, spray nozzle, roller or immersion. Spread evenly using a mostly dry brush after approximately 5-10 minutes. Apply second coat after drying for at least 12 hours. Wood Wax L can be used for aftercare on all common coats.
