Suitable for

All wood in interiors and exteriors, where a particularly durable coat is desired such as wooden facades, balconies, windows and window shutters, fences, pergolas, wooden shingles, garden furniture and garden houses, carports, furniture, etc. Covering Wood Paint is equally well suited for all types of wood. The product is also ideal for renovating old open-pore paints and weathered wood surfaces. The covering, open-pore and durable wood coating has proved itself under extreme weather conditions at sea and in the mountains. Covering Wood Paint is free of biocides and preservatives, which makes it also suitable for interiors. Covering Wood Paint is of the highest quality and easy to use.

Product Characteristics
Consumption

Approximately 40 ml/m², meaning 1 liter of Covering Wood Paint is enough for approximately 25 m² per coat, depending on the type of wood and surface (planed or rough-sawn). Corrugated wood can increase consumption (factor 2-3). Lower consumption affects durability of the coat.

Storage

Cool, but frost free.

Cleaning

Clean tools with thinner or turpentine substitute immediately after use.

Refined natural oils such as soybean and sunflower oil, isoaliphates, natural waxes, microcrystalline wax, lead-free drying agents, pentanonoxime, neodecanoic acid, cobalt salt, pigments, titanium dioxide.

Important notices

Contains neodecanoic acid, cobalt salt. May produce an allergic reaction. To avoid skin contact use suitable gloves (nitrile). Wear a dust mask when sanding. Safety data sheet available on request. Warning! Hazardous respirable droplets may be formed when sprayed. Do not breathe spray or mist. If medical advice is needed, have product container or label at hand. Keep out of reach of children. Read carefully and follow all instructions. Do not use the shades “natural” or “transparent” outdoors by themselves as these offer no UV protection. When using multiple containers with different batch numbers mix them together in a bigger container. Dispose of contents / container according to local / regional / national / international guidelines. ASN. 080111. EU limit for this product (A/e): 400 g/l. This product contains a maximum of 400 g/l VOC.

Usage and Application
Application/Use
  • Surface must be clean, dry and free of dust and grease (consider sanding).
  • Clean old open-pore, load bearing coats with a suitable detergent.
  • Processing temperature (including drying) above + 8 °C. Wood humidity < 18%. Air humidity < 60%.
  • Drying time 12-24 hours (touch dry after 6 hours).
  • Stir well before and during use.
  • Treat softwood (risk of fungi) in exteriors with an appropriate impregnation primer before applying the first coat.
  • If possible, apply once on all sides before assembly.
  • Works differently depending on surface characteristics. Apply a trial coat first.

Covering Wood Paint is ready for use and must not be diluted. Apply thinly using a roller or brush and spread evenly along the grain. Apply the second coat after 12-24 hours of drying (for refurbishment one coat is generally sufficient). If possible, apply the first coat of paint on all sides before assembly.
