PNZ Impregnation Primer W219

Solvent-free impregnation primer. Natural and gentle, prevents blue stain, rot and infestation. Sustainably produced.

Suitable for

Ready to use, water-based wood preserver for industrial, commercial or private use against destructive fungi and blue stain. Only suitable for suspended wood such as windows, doors, facade cladding, fences, dormers and carports. In interiors treated wood must only be used for window frames and external doors. Do not use on wood that is in constant contact with water or soil.

Consumption

Approximately 180–220 ml/m² in 1–2 steps, meaning 1 liter of Impregnation Primer W219 is enough for approximately 4–6 m², depending on the kind of wood and surface (planed or rough-sawn). Corrugated wood can increase consumption (factor 2–3). Lower consumption affects durability of the coat.

Storage

Cool, but frost free. Can be stored in unopened, original container until: See yellow label on bottom.

Cleaning

Clean tools with warm water and soap immediately after use.

Important notices

Harmful to aquatic life with long-lasting effects. Contains mixture from 5-chloro-2-methyl-2H-isothiazolin-3-one and 2-methyl-2H-isothiazol-3-one (3:1), 3-iodo-2-propynyl butylcarbamate. May produce an allergic reaction. To avoid skin contact use suitable gloves (nitrile). Wear a dust mask when sanding. Safety data sheet available on request. Usage and Application
Application/Use
  • The untreated wooden substrate has to be clean, dry and free of dust.
  • Remove layer-forming, old coat.
  • Stir contents well before and during use.
  • Processing temperature (including drying) above + 8°C. Wood humidity < 15%. Air humidity < 60%. Works differently depending on surface characteristics. Apply a trial coat first.

Apply to all sides of the untreated wood by brush, roller, spray nozzle or immersion. Drying takes approximately 24 hours. Protect against water during this period. Drying can take longer on wood with a high amount of wood components. Before using wood treated with Impregnation Primer W219, apply an appropriate top coat.
