PNZ Wood Protection Coat (Film Protection)

Preservative protection against weathering and rot for all wood outdoors; with film protection. Sustainably produced with regional raw materials.

Suitable for

Transparent, water-repellent, open-pore, UV-resistant coat for exteriors. Wood Protection Coat offers excellent preservative weather-protection, it penetrates well, is nearly odorless and easy to use. For any wood in exteriors that is exposed to climatic influences such as log cabins, facade cladding, fences, balcony cladding, windows, garden houses, wood grates, garage doors, picket fences, etc. Our product contains an active substance that protects against mold, algae and fungi.

Product Characteristics
Consumption

Approximately 100 ml/m², meaning 1 liter of Wood Protection Coat is enough for approximately 10 m² per application, depending on the kind of wood and surface (planed or rough-sawn). Corrugated wood can increase consumption (factor 2-3). Lower consumption affects durability of coat.

Storage

Cool, but frost free.

Cleaning

Clean tools with thinner or turpentine substitute immediately after use.

Refined natural oils such as soybean and sunflower oil, isoaliphates, natural waxes, lead-free drying agents, pentanonoxime, pigments, 0.4 g/100 g 3-lod-2-propinylbutylcarbamate.

Important notices

Harmful to aquatic life with long lasting effects. Contains 3-lod-2-propinylbutylcarbamate. May produce an allergic reaction. To avoid skin contact use suitable gloves (nitrile). Wear a dust mask when sanding. Safety data sheet available on request. If medical advice is needed, have product container or label at hand. Keep out of reach of children. Read carefully and follow all instructions. Avoid release to the environment. Do not use the shades “natural” or “transparent” outdoors by themselves as these offer no UV protection. When using multiple containers with different batch numbers mix them together in a bigger container. Dispose of contents / container according to local / regional / national / international guidelines. ASN: 080111. EU limit for this product (A/f): 700 g/l. This product contains a maximum of 600 g/l VOC.

Usage and Application
Application/Use
  • The untreated wooden substrate has to be clean, dry and free of dust and grease.
  • Remove contaminants (algae, grease, dirt) using an appropriate detergent.
  • Processing temperature (including drying) above + 8°C. Wood humidity < 18%. Air humidity < 60%.
  • Works differently depending on surface characteristics. Apply a trial coat first.
  • Stir contents well before and during use.
  • If possible, apply once on all sides before assembly.

For a new coat apply 2-3 times by brush, roller or immersion. Can also be applied by machine. Let dry for at least 12 hours then apply second or third coat as outlined to visible surface. Refurbishment: Remove old, not load bearing coats. Clean old, load bearing coats and apply Wood Protection Coat once or twice as outlined.
