Brief Raw Materials Guidebook

All PNZ products reflect the latest state of the art. Even during formulation, we set a high value on natural, renewable and environmentally friendly raw materials with high penetrating power.

In our products, this prevents undesirable side effects such as cracking, peeling, gumming up, or flaking off.

With respect to solvents, we completely forego using raw materials which are supposedly harmless because they are renewable, such as ether-containing orange oils or citrus oils.
Various studies have shown these citrus oils to have detrimental results. (Possible occurrence of acute respiratory distress, headaches, and possibly carcinogenic subtances)

We deliberately do not use any

  • Turpentine oil (narcotic, and irritating to skin and nerves)
  • aromatized solvents (contain cancer-suspect benzene, toluene, and xylene)
  • solvents under the trade name "Crystal Oil"

Our exterior varnishes and oils are manufactured without fungicidal active ingredient, and comply with DIN 53 160 (saliva and sweat resistance) and the European standard EN 71 (safety of children's toys).

Ingredients that we use

  • natural oils and waxes, for example linseed oil, rapeseed oil, walnut oil, soy oil, shellac, beeswax, candelilla wax, carnauba wax, mineral wax, Japan wax
  • Micronized, light-stable earth pigments and mineral pigments ensure excellent covering capacity and optimal UV protection.

What's important for you, the user, to know is that each time after drying another coat can always be applied.
