5 Gender Equality
Achieving gender equality and empowering all women and girls.
Certainly there is no need for discussion, this is self-evident. We celebrate the fact that we have many employees that return to us. As the football trainer Jürgen Klopp once said: "It's not important what people think when you come, but what they think when you go."
- Our workplace is non-discriminatory. We are especially determined wo support women and mothers to assert themselves in professional life and to continue to develop.
- We support part-time employment, about 15 % of our employees work part-time.
- More than 90% of female employees that took parental leave have returned to their workplace once it ended. Some even more than once...:-)
- We pay equal wage for equal work.
- In doing so we offer flexible models, oriented to the need of the eomployee, as far as it is compatible with an effective business process.
- We offer a communications channel, which affected employees can use to directly and without fear of repercussions talk to senior management, but until now we have no cases of discrimination based on gender or religion to report. We hope it will remain this way.
- We ensure that our suppliers also work non-discriminatory.
- Between 40 and 50% of our executive positions are filled by women.
We support this goal and and have analyzed the corresponding starting points and impact and have structurally aligned our business model accordingly. An advanced risk analysis couldn't identify any immediate risks originating form us. However, between Mr. Nierobisch and Mr. Pietsch top management is exclusively male dominated. We have not had the chance to make a sensible amendment, but when the time comes gender specific discrimination will definitely not play a role.
