8 Decent Work And Economic Growth
Promoting sustained, broad-based and sustainable economic growth, productive full-time employment and humane work for all.
When we talk about sustainability, we mean a business model that is sustainable in the long term for people and the environment.
- We pay fair wages and offer fair working conditions.
- We try to be a fully inclusive company where everyone has equal opportunities.
- A given in Germany but not in some parts of the world: we adhere to fair work and rest times. We don't work shifts and all employees are entitled to holidays and work less than 48 hours a week (it's a real tragedy that something so self-evident has to be mentioned at all).
- Typically for a medium-sized company we have no trade unions or formal employee representation. We have offered this several times, but our colleagues simply do not want it. This is probably also due to the fact that every employee in our company has direct access to the management at all times (which is also actively used). However should the desire for collective representation develop at some point in the future, we certainly have nothing against it.
- New employees receive intensive training (general and job-specific training) and we support their professional development through joint and individual training.
- We are very happy to employ workers with a migration background (also sad that this is worth mentioning at all).
- Employee satisfaction was very high in all previous surveys. And we have no doubt that we won't have to wait until a survey is completed if anything changes.
- We treat our suppliers fairly. Especially with our local raw material suppliers (e.g. for rapeseed oil, etc.) we make sure that we pay prices that are above the international market price.
We support this goal and and have analyzed the corresponding starting points and impact and have structurally aligned our business model accordingly. An advanced risk analysis couldn't identify any immediate risks originating form us.
