We support this goal and and have analyzed the corresponding starting points and impact and have structurally aligned our business model accordingly.

1. We improve our production processes every year in order to be able to save raw materials and produce even more environmentally friendly.
2. We buy locally and regionally wherever possible (e.g. rapeseed oil from an oil mill 20km from Kipfenberg) to support local businesses and minimize our environmental footprint through logistics.
3. Every year we invest between 5 and 10% of our turnover in research and development.
4. We maintain an ISO 14001 certified environmental management system, which is reviewed annually by external auditors.
5. Over 75% of our annual capital expenditure for our plant and equipment is for improving environmental performance.
6. It is important to us that the expansion of our property is only carried out according to green building standards.
7. We use water responsibly.
8. We support small businesses and start-ups that focus on sustainability with advice and assistance, including in external business areas.

An advanced risk analysis couldn't identify any immediate risks originating form us. In 2020, we will support even more start-ups in the environmental sector within the framework of a co-operation with the Technical University of Munich and will endeavor to improve the framework conditions for such business.
