Properties:
PNZ-KORK-LACK (PNZ-CORK-VARNISH) is low toxicity, has little odour and is therefore kind to the environment.
PNZ-KORK-LACK is outstanding by virtue of its high-quality components and its high proportion of solids, through its good abrasion properties, high wear resilience and good resistance to water and diverse household chemicals ? these should nevertheless be removed quickly. Furthermore, PNZ-KORK-LACK may also be used to good effect with corkboards coloured in production. The product is very easy to use, not least through its good spreading properties.
PNZ-KORK-LACK serves to protect cork and makes cork floors easy to maintain.
Areas of use:
For all types of interior cork floors, e.g. residential, in children?s nurseries, in public buildings with normal pedestrian traffic. PNZ-KORK-LACK is very well suited for retrospective sealing of presealed floors or old floors following intensive cleaning.
Usage:
Stir well before every use! The surface must be clean and free of residues!
PNZ-KORK-LACK as a primer:
Apply 2 x with a trowel or 1 x rolled or brushed on (do not subsequently sand).
2 applications by roller or brush. Sand lightly before the last application.
Approx. 2?4 hours per coat. The sealed floor may be walked upon with care after approx. 10?14 hours and is capable of withstanding light wear after 48 hours. Ultimate hardness and full resilience after approx. 10 days. Care should always be taken to ensure sufficient ventilation when working with PNZ-KORK-LACK in order to achieve better drying.
The drying times are based on a room temperature of approx. 20°C and approx. 60% relative humidity.
Maintenance using PNZ Floor Shine should precede the first heavy use of the freshly sealed floor (applied undiluted 1?2 times) ? roughly 2 weeks after the final seal. To preserve the attractive surface, we recommend regular maintenance and cleaning with PNZ-FUSSBODEN-REINIGER (PNZ-FLOOR-CLEANER) and PNZ-BODEN-GLANZ (PNZ-FLOOR-SHINE) added to the final mopping water ? or use of PNZ-BIO-FUSSBODENWACHS (PNZ-BIO-FLOOR-WAX).
It has different effects on different surfaces. Trial coats are therefore essential.
Coverage:
Total coverage approx. 350-450 g/m2.
Storage:
Do not store and transport under +6°C (preferably +15°C to 20°C).
Opened containers should be well closed and used up promptly.
PROTECT AGAINST THE COLD!
Cleaning:
Working tools should be initially cleaned after use with newspaper or other similarly absorbing paper and then thoroughly cleaned with water.
Note:
Common precautionary measures are also to be observed when working with low toxicity varnishes. When using several containers with different lot numbers, they should be mixed together in a large container!
Container sizes:
0.75 litres, 2.5 litres, 10 litres and larger.
