Properties:
PNZ-WEICHHOLZ-LAUGE (PNZ-SOFT-WOOD-ALKALINE-SOLUTION) is a ready-to-use single component alkaline solution. PNZ-WEICHHOLZ-LAUGE emphasizes the natural grain, has a short development time, has a neutral odour, is non-corrosive and may be economically applied over large areas with special tools.
Areas of use:
For fresh, non-yellowed, well sanded or bleached soft wood (coniferous wood) used in interior applications. Ideal for wooden floors, stairs, wall and ceiling panelling, furniture, wood composite boards etc.
Usage:
Rough wood must be finely sanded, clean, dry, free of dust and grease (remove grease with PNZ-INTENSIV-REINIGER (PNZ-INTENSIVE-CLEANER). An extremely fine sanding with a mesh abrasive disc is recommended. Resin patches should previously be brushed off with PNZ-GRUND-REINIGER (PNZ-DEEP-CLEANER). Stir alkaline solution vigorously in the container, shake and pour half in a plastic container.
Stir the remainder in the vessel vigorously, shake and also pour into the plastic vessel. Then stir evenly in the vessel. Use alkali resistant tools. Brush or roll the surface evenly until the alkali solution forms a full surface layer.
IMPORTANT! Stir the alkaline solution in the vessel regularly. Reapply copious alkaline solution to any dry patches arising on the surface until an even layer remains on the surface. Apply alkaline solution to wall and ceiling panelling and treat subsequently! Otherwise apply to vertical areas from bottom to top.
Avoid working overhead!
Observe a drying time of 1 day before subsequent treatment with wooden floor soap and 3 days before subsequent treatment with wooden floor oil (the max. wood moisture for oil treatment must not exceed 14%). Dry chalk dust arising on the surface after the drying time should be brushed off with a dry scrubbing brush or sanding pad and vacuumed off. Wash tools thoroughly with water after use.
Subsequent treatment:
Necessary for appearance and surface protection. The following compatible products are available for professional final treatment of alkaline treated soft wood surfaces dependent on the use they are subject to.
Suggestion 1:
For lesser-used surfaces in the home:
PNZ-HOLZBODEN-SEIFE (PNZ-WOODEN-FLOOR-SOAP) ? for a natural colour effect.
Suggestion 2:
For heavily used surfaces (also in commercial environments):
PNZ-HOLZBODEN-ÖL (PNZ-WOODEN-FLOOR-OIL) ? for a natural colour effect.
Suggestion 3:
For interior painted surfaces:
PNZ-FUSSBODEN-LACK (PNZ-FLOOR-VARNISH) for applications in which a film ?forming effect is preferred. Observe three to five days drying time and carefully remove chalk dust before treating varnish.
Coverage:
100-120 ml/m2 per coat, for wood-block paving 3?4 x quantity.
Colours:
colourless, white.
Note:
Soft wood which is already yellowed must be thoroughly sanded off or bleached prior to treatment. Yellowed soft wood does not become lighter as a result of the treatment!
Contents:
Water, sodium hydroxide, cellulose; for white: calcium and titanium oxide.
Container sizes:
1 litres, 2.5 litres, 10 litres and larger.
